July 12th weekend- just mommy and Sam
Daddy went canoeing, camping and fishing with his daddy this weekend. He left Friday, so we had the weekend to play together just you and me. We missed daddy though! Friday night after you were to sleep, I curled up on the sofa and watched a movie I had wanted to see American Hustle. Saturday we got up and went over to Billy's house so he could see you and his wife could meet you. She loves kids. Billy is the man who built our deck with daddy's help. We were only there a little over an hour and then came home so you could take a nap. When you got up we went to Kroger to get groceries. It was fun playing with you all day in your room and in the living room. We came up with some fun new games. One of them is I hide and you come find me and then I chase you. You crawl really fast away from me and are so happy. This morning you crawled so fast away from me into the bathroom and you ran your head into the tub. You didn't even act bothered by it. Another game is I turn my back to you sitting down and you giggle and pull up on me. I turn my head and look at you and you giggle. I just love love love hearing you giggle. You are eating good now too. You have breakfast (baby food) and lunch and dinner along with your bottle. You love the puffs. Sometimes you get a little cranky when I put you in the highchair to eat because you want to be free and not confined to a seat. But, I put some puffs on the tray and you are happy. When we first tried to feed you, you would grab the spoon and put your hands in your mouth. Now you let us feed you and your hands don't get in the way. That used to be a pain because you would get all dirty and messy with baby food.
Today we just stayed home and played. I did a little work while you napped and cooked some vegetables. I really enjoyed my weekend having you to myself. Oh, and you are saying Ma Ma Ma Ma but I don't know if you know that means me. But if you want me to pick you up out of your pack and play you say it so maybe...So far your words have been Ba, Ga and MaMa. I think you have a little cold as your nose is runny today. Poor boy. You were so happy all weekend, you can't even tell you have a little cold. Sam, you are such a miracle to us and we are so blessed to have you as our son. God was so right on when he created you for us. I pray that your life is wonderful and that you know how much you are loved. I hope you have confidence to do whatever you set your mind to do. I pray that you have a relationship with God and that you use Him to help you guide your life. I pray that I don't get on your nerves and that we can be friends and supporters of one another when you are older. I do feel bad that I am going to be older when you are ready to have children. I have thought that there is a strong possibility that I won't ever meet your children. If you wait like me to have children at 39, I will be 79! Yikes! Daddy is really good about staying in shape and wants to be around for you as long as he can. He is very motivating. I want to as well. I had that thought the other day driving that I want to take good care of myself so that I can be here as long as I can on this earth to spend time with you.
We love you buddy!

Chick Fil A
This is a restaurant but your daddy and I eat at a good bit during the day when we are out working. There are lots of children here during the summer with their parents. When I see little children I always think of you and think that one day you will be old enough to enjoy sitting here with us eating lunch. Of course I don't want you to grow up too fast but I do look forward to when we can talk to you. We love you so much!

Fast
You are growing up so fast. I was just looking at you in the monitor sleeping and you look so long. I was just thinking that it's probably a good idea for me to write about what we do every weekend and that will be fun to look back and remember things that we did when you were a baby. This past weekend was 4th of July, your dad's birthday and Katie's 40th birthday. We enjoyed hanging out with you for an extra day since we had off on Friday.

Happy at Lake Rabun
Sometimes I can specifically pinpoint days where I am 99% happy and content. This afternoon feels like one of those days. I am spending the night away from home for work about two hours away and found a great place to stay the night. It's like a little cabin on the lake with beautiful trees and birds singing all around me. You only thing missing is your daddy and you here with me. Can't wait to bring you both back here soon. Lately Sam I have really enjoyed being in the mountains and feel like moving there right away. Last week I was in Ellijay and got to drive through the mountains and then to Dalhenoega. Your daddy feels the same way that he really loves the mountains too. I'm Sitting outside on the deck that has two trees growing up through the floor. The builders cut out a space for the trees. I'm going to do some work as I've been putting it off since I got here because I was taking pictures and just sitting here being content. Before I got here I was in Clayton Georgia and went into the downtown area into a few shops and that is where I saw the brochure on this place. One thing about me is that I like to visit old quaint towns that are very charming. My mom is the same way. I was just picturing cities I like and one of them is Fairhope Alabama and Hawaii! Lets go soon okay? Love you buddy! Mom
