4 steps!

Yesterday was August 29 and you took four steps last night! We were playing in the den and you were standing up and just took the steps! 

Be born in me

I was just driving home and that song came on my iPhone and it made me think that I wanted to tell you about it. The song is actually called the born in me by Francesca  B. Three years ago your dad and I went and saw a Christian production called the story. This song was in the story and absolutely beautiful. I sang along to it all the time and it's one of my favorites. I had the chance to sing it at the Methodist Church two years ago when your dad and I were wishing for you!   

Things you like

You like playing in your room. There is an old radio in there that works that's really tall and you stand up and play with the knobs. Lately you've been bouncing your knees dancing along with the music. You look out the windows and look at the trees. The other day I handed you a pinecone that sits in your windowsill that reminds me of my dad and you were really amazed with the pinecone. 

Being thankful

I think every human probably struggles with this same thing - being thankful for what you have. When I look back on the things that I really wanted in my life god answered those prayers. You gave me your daddy and he gave me you. And that's really all I could ever ask for

I always take about 35 shots of you when trying to get your monthly photos. This one cracks us up!

A lot of Sumdays I have made plans to be a better person than the week before. A lot of times I fail. I think this week I am going to turn a corner.  I want to be healthy inside and out.  I want to eat better, work out.  I want to be around when you are 40.

Your dad and I were just saying when you are 40, he will be 81 and I will be 80. Oh my that is up there :). 

Tonight your dad is next to me looking up swim lessons for you. He really wants you to know how to swim. We live on a lake so once you are older it's important you know how to swim should you ever get out our door.   

This weekend we just stayed at home. Today we went to church at our neighbors church. Their son Ryan got baptized. Last week we went to Momentum after not going for several months.  Everyone loved seeing you!

Yesterday afternoon we went to the pool for a little bit. You have a new float that we used. It started thundering so we had to get out. 

I had fun in your room tonight.  I hide on the side of your crib. You come find me. I tuck my head down and you laugh and touch me. Daddy did it and you pulled his shirt and laughed. 

Your daddy sure does love you. He said

Book!

Tonight is the first night you sat in my lap and enjoyed your Peek a Boo forest book. You laughed at the animals :). It was so cute! 

10 months old!!

Time sure is flying by!  You are already 10 months old. You are standing up on your own. Everyone says you will be walking soon. You are a joy and a blessing!!!

I love you!

It was so wonderful to see you after not seeing you for a whole week. You smiled really big and wanted me to hold you a lot when I got home last night. You were having fun with Nana too. Today is Saturday and I'm taking you to a portrait studio to have more pictures taken because I wanted some of you in your little baby outfit. The lady that we used to take your nine-month pictures was our wedding photographer and also took your newborn photos. We love the work that she did but it would be a good memory to have some of you looking like a little baby. A couple people made that recommendation but I didn't listen and put you in big boy clothes. Grandmere mentioned that she would like to have some of you showing your little feet and legs. I agree with that!  This week I learned that I really need to work hard during the day focused on my main job and try to sell a lot so I can put some money in our savings account I will have to admit that I have probably only been about 70% focused i'm going to work and be away from you I want to give it my all so that maybe I can save more to be able to spend time with you and a couple of years. 

I'm really excited to have the weekend to play with you. Daddy is coming home tonight and tomorrow we are going to go to the pool!

Can't wait

I'm only about four minutes away from holding you and kissing you since I've been gone all week!!!  I am so excited to see you. 

Out of town for work

I am in MN for work. I just passed over Prior Lake. 

About you

You sing when you go down a dirt road or a bumpy road. So your voice can bounce. 

You smile a lot, you move a lot, you have a really cute personality, you are really hard to dreas and change his diaper because you want to flip over and be active 

More about mommy

Daddy not talk about having another boy or girl so that you have a sister or brother. Aunt Angela asked me today if we are still thinking about having another baby. I told her that we are trying and she asked me if we have another one will I quit working for a while. Told her that I would like to but not sure if it would be possible. How I would treasure playing with you all day long!  I think it would be fun once you are a tad bit older. You are 9 months old now. You are getting a fun personality and are almost about to start walking. We love you!!

Vacation!

This week is our vacation week. Your daddy and I brought you up to where we had our wedding reception up in mineral Bluff Georgia. We got up here on Sunday, August 3. We just had dinner together and got unpacked. Monday we took it easy and stayed around the house and you took a really long nap and we went into blue ridge and walked around for little bit. Tuesday we went hiking in the cohutta wilderness and hiked  many many miles. On that adventure we were looking for a big waterfall. Didn't find the waterfall that daddy wanted us to see but we did see a black bear and deer. We saw lots of really pretty woods and streams. On Wednesday I had a headache and I just didn't feel like doing anything. I met a lady that I took over her former territory that lives up here.  That night we had dinner at Toccoa River Restaurant where we had our rehearsal dinner!  Thursday Nana got up here with her friend Dominique. Daddy and I went down the river here. So beautiful we can't wait for you to be able to join us soon. While we've been here you have been standing up by yourself. Aunt Angela and uncle Dwayne and cousin Alex are heading up here right now.  

First haircut

You had your first haircut yesterday but we only cut the back
