Weekend update
Today is Sunday and you're in your crib chatting away as it's time for your nap. You're pretty content in your crib playing with your toys and lately throwing them out of the crib. I usually go back in a couple times and give you back your bottle and your Passi and eventually you will fall asleep. Yesterday we got up and went to a couple of garage sales and then we went and saw Ansley play one of her softball games. They ended up winning the tournament but we didn't find that out until later last night. Yesterday afternoon we came back home and played and then Grandmere and Bill came over as it was Bill's birthday. You really thrive on all the attention as you were pushing your little carts around the den and giggling and laughing. For dinner we sat in the kitchen and you were in your highchair and you were talking a lot to Bill. We had chicken that daddy had smoked on the smoker, macaroni and cheese, green bean casserole, bread and salad. You had all of the above except for salad. After dinner we watched pictures that daddy had put up on the TV from his recent trip to Colorado. One time you came over to Bill and patted his belly and giggled. His belly is Santa like, so it was so funny that you did that. We all laughed for a while. You were so full of energy but you didn't take a really good nap yesterday so I put you in your crib around 8 PM. You fell sleep in about 15 minutes but around 11 pm you were crying really hard-almost screaming. Daddy went to your room and told me to come in there as you had thrown up all of your crib. Thats the first time you've ever thrown up. Poor boy!! Daddy rocked to you in your chair for a little bit and you went back to sleep just fine and woke up later this morning. You feel fine today! We played some this morning and then we made blueberry waffles and played some more. Daddy just went up to the store to get a few things and one of the things are some screws so we can hang up your swing! It's been so nice outside in the mornings -very cool. I can't wait to push you in your swing! Earlier when you're playing with your daddy you were so cute and so happy. You lovenhim so much and it makes my heart smile! We are so lucky to have a daddy and husband like him!

Daddy's home
Picked up daddy last night around 1030 and we got home and turned on your nightlight and you woke up just a little bit and smiled. He took you to Janet's this morning and picked you up and now he's playing with you. He brought us some goodies home. Brought you a cute T-shirt and me a pretty wooden vase along with two coasters and a Christmas ornament.

Sunday
Sunday, Sept 21st and the weather outside is absolutely perfect. Yesterday we went next-door to our neighbors as it was their 50th wedding anniversary and they were having a dinner party. We used a highchair that they use for their girls and you did great and we're very happy and talkative to everyone. You especially loved the children. This morning we had breakfast and watched some nursery rhymes. In the day yesterday we went to a church craft fair and then grandmere came over and watched you while I did a little bit of painting cabinets.

Mexican!
Tonight when I picked you up we went over and had Mexican for dinner. It was just you and me and we had a good time. I ordered you a cheese quesadilla and broke it up into little small pieces. You got to try some cheese dip too. You loved looking up at the flags that were hanging down from the ceiling and all the lights. You were waving at a table that was seated near us. You were just so precious and very content and happy! It was nice just relaxing and not having to cook. Sometimes it's nice to get out of the same old routine. We came home and Mr. Billy came over and brought the flower boxes that he built for us. When you went to bed I did a lot of painting. My goal is to have our kitchen cabinets all painted by the time your dad gets home. Talked about hiring somebody but that would be about $1300. If I can get this done I will be so proud of myself!

We are surviving!
Daddy has been gone since Sunday. We have had a good week so far! Each night we get home around 5:30 pm and we play, go for a walk, eat dinner, play and take a bath. Then it's bedtime. You have been sleeping through the night since 9 months old. You haven't woken up this week so far, so we don't see one another until you wake up. This morning, you slept until 7:45am. I slept in too!
I am thinking that Friday morning I am going to take you to Crackel Barrell so we can goof off and have breakfast. I am so fortunate to not be at Anna Griffin, Inc. for work anymore. I feel so blessed to have the job that I do and the flexibility that it offers. I think that getting to spend more time with you in the mornings and getting home earlier is so much better than what we were doing at AG.
This week you have been waving your arm and hand more (bye bye) and also grabbing my nose.
In the tub, you have new toys Mrs. Katie gave you that you have been having fun with. Last night I put a toy up in the soap dish in the bathtub. You thought that was so interesting! You looked at me, stood up and started talking to it. Tonight, you kept throwing the top of a blue plastic dish out of the tub and were trying to get out of the tub to get it.
Today I drove to Union City and Peachtree City and Newnan for work. I got home around 4:30 and let the dogs out and packed you a bottle. I drove over to get you and then we went into town. I took you into Bath and Body Works. You were amazed at the fall decorations. There were leaves hanging form the ceiling. You were so excited and talking to them. Boy, you are so funny and so adorable.
We met Aunt Angela and Uncle Dwayne in town for dinner. You did good. You like to people watch. They were singing happy birthday to someone in the restaurant and you were trying to find out where it was happening.
We are so in love with you and so amazed at how absolutely adorable you are!
Love you so much,
Mommy

Every new month
As each month comes you get cuter and cuter! You will soon be approaching your 11th month. It's hard to believe but we are enjoying watching you grow. You are curious about everything and it's really fascinating watching you figure things out. Yesterday morning daddy took you to a store and there were lots of animals on the walls and daddy said you were very amazed!
Big trip!!
Today your dad left on his big trip to Colorado. He and Mr. Robin were flying into Denver and then driving about 5 to 6 hours to where they are going to park and walk 6 miles in. He will be gone a total of nine days. I know he's gonna miss you really bad. Yesterday was your absolute best day ever as you were so happy and funny. We had company come over and watch the Georgia game and you didn't take a very long nap during the day so last night you were crying really hard. That's only time you get really upset is when you're really overtired. We always feel bad that we didn't get you to take a better nap.
Today is Sunday and you have been sleeping for a very long time since we got home from having lunch with Miss Carolyn. This morning we got up early at six and took daddy to the airport. We got home and played a little bit and then left around 1030 to go have brunch. Carolyn had not seen you in a few months. At the restaurant you were anxious to get out of your highchair and when I picked you up you wanted to crawl over my shoulders and over the back of the bench seat. You were really very wild I thought! When we were getting ready to leave and I was holding you you spit up all over the floor. Soon as we got in the car you fell asleep :).
I know I tell you this a lot but when I hold you and your who you are I just can't help but think God that we have such a wonderful baby and the opportunity to be parents to you!

Molly's 2nd birthday
Today we celebrated Molly's second birthday! You got to meet some of her other friends and play on the screen porch. Afterwards I met your Grandmere and she drove you home and I met your aunt Angela and we went to Stone Mountain Park to the yellow daisy festival.

Planning for your birthday
I am having the most fun planning for your birthday. I love decorating and planning for events and crafty things. So far I've bought a lot of things off of a website called Etsy that has homemade things. Your theme is going to be carnival circus. I bought some papers to make some cute pinwheels and some other things like napkins and plates to use. I still need to order your cake but I have time for that.

Labor Day 2014
Yesterday was Labor Day we drove into Atlanta to eat breakfast. And we went over to REI so daddy could buy a few things. We went back home and then went over to Katie's house so we could have dinner together. You enjoyed playing with all the toys that Katie has there at her house. You loved the play kitchen and opening all the cabinets. Daddy and I are always so proud of you because you are such a sweet and happy boy that seems to love life!
