Easter Egg Hunt

This best Saturday your dad had to work at a gun range that was having a grand opening so I took you to a Easter egg hunt at a church where some of our neighbors go. They had breakfast and face painting and tattooing and a visit from the Easter bunny. You sat still why you got a fish painted on the side of your cheek. I was very surprised!  You ended up turning your head right when the painter was putting the black dot on the eyeball and it made a black streak. He cleaned it up pretty good but the sessions up coming off throughout the morning on tonight shirt from me holding you. You were very curious about the Easter bunny and wanted to go sit in his lap while the other kids were getting their pictures taken with them. When it was your turn you crawled right up there next to him and sat down and were touching his hand and probably thinking how soft he was. Then it was time for the Easter egg hunt and you just have fun running around in the yard. Right at the beginning you found two eggs and just shook them because they had candy inside and you liked that noise. Then you were off running. I had to turn you around a couple times so you didn't run out towards the street. When we were making our way back inside towards the end of the hunt, you grabbed a couple more eggs and put them in your basket.
The neighbors that were there were Ms. Mindy and her children Caleb and Railey.
Miss Mindy makes balloons as her profession and she did a great job. We didn't get to have Evelyn made for you but you had fun sitting next to her kids while they were going through their Easter baskets and pulling out all the candy. Caleb would take the candy back from you and you never minded you were just really easy-going and happy and he ended up giving you a sucker which you were really happy about. You were running around the choir area with the other kids and laughing and giggling. You're always so friendly and want to play with kids compared to other kids that are the more shy. Daddy and I are always so proud of you and proud that you are our son. Because you are so sweet and funny and cute!

Weekend adventures

This past weekend the sun was finally out after a week of rain. I had to work half a day on Saturday and it was finally sunny when I got home and then yesterday was absolutely beautiful out. Since I had a busy weekend did not get to be with you most mornings I decided to skip church so I could continue to feed you breakfast and just play with you instead of having to leave the house. We went out into the yard fairly early and you walked around and picked up the text and just enjoyed walking through the yard we have a lot of leaves and trees so you enjoyed just stomping through all of them then we moved onto the backyard and let that some fish that daddy bought to fish with and looked at the geese and you picked up more sticks we also played a lot on the porch and you were enjoying riding on your tricycle that we have to push we had a peanut butter sandwich and then daddy got home you went down for nap around 1 o'clock and slept until 430 while you were napping daddy was working in the yard and I was painting a desk I bought at a garage sale another thing you like to do is play with these window decorations that I put in your room for each season they are almost like a sticky gel consistency that peel off and re-stick so I put you up on the chair and then you climb up on the dresser and play at the window that may not be the best idea because yesterday you were trying to reach over to the dresser on a different chair and couldn't hurt yourself lately you have been trying to pet the dog so you go over to them and touch them in at your hands on there for her and giggle at daycare they call you smiling Sam because you are always smiling and so happy you were like that at the house yesterday because I think he finally started to feel better after having so many colds i'm just now getting home from a days work and I can't wait to see you and give you a hug

Thoughts

The past couple of days you have really started to turn into a little boy. We seem to be running faster and getting smarter and just having more of a personality. Hi been thinking that I am letting go of being sad about you growing up. I look forward to watching you grow up and seeing you enjoy new things and turn into a young boy and then a teenager and then an adult. I think that sometimes Time goes by so quickly and we have regrets of wishing we had done lesson done that but if I remember to live in the moment there should be no regrets. We are so in love with you and love seeing you learning and exploring and enjoying. It is such a big lesson to look at you and see innocent and remember that we were want that it's a good place to strive towards being that sometime as we get older and send becomes a part of our lives you are without sin and pure and innocent and I hope to provide that for you for a long time

Circus

We went to the circus a couple of weekends ago with Katie and Tony and Molly and her two sons and her parents.
You were really interested in all the lights and sounds and animals!  Mommy had a headache so she didn't write too many details about it because she was doing good just to get out of the house :).
Honestly I felt so horrible when I woke up that morning and realized I had a headache because I was really looking forward to having fun at the circus. Instead I was just super tired and not really happy. It was fun seeing you interested and enjoying it though!

Camping!

This past weekend dear daddy and I went camping up towards Dalengona. You stayed at Nanas house. We had taken you to the doctor the morning before we went to Nanas because it looked like you might be getting pinkeye. The doctor said you just had another viral infection from going to a new daycare most likely. So we decided it was okay to go out of town so we drove to Nanas and then we went into the woods. Daddy and I walked about 3 miles and then set up a camp near a creek. Daddy used a tarp as the tent and then put his wood-burning stove in it. I had fun walking around the area and picking up sticks  and thought how much fun you would have helping me. Daddy got the stove all set up and the wood-burning stove working. Dad made a bonfire but it was hard to keep the fire going because all the wood seemed to be wet because we've had such a rainy winter. I was getting a little cold but I did not complain.
The next day I did complain when we ended up walking up the side of a mountain for about three hours :). My legs felt like jelly!  We did hike for several miles and we got to a point where we stopped and had lunch and looked out over the beautiful mountain. We called to check on you and Nana said that you had crust all over your eyes and your nose was running like crazy. Poor thing!
We missed you :).
We hiked a couple more miles and got to a place where there was another mountain. I told your dad that I don't really think I can go up anymore mountains. He told me to sit in a nice little area that was on the side of a hidden road and I could read my book and he would go get the car. When he left I sat down in the leaves and read my book and had some time to really think about things and just relax. It was so peaceful and I thought of how wonderful it is to be a mom. I enjoyed just being in a place where I didn't have anything to worry about anything and I could just focus on nature and how beautiful it was outside. After I was there about 40 minutes I heard some leaves rustling nearby and I got nervous and thought it was a animal of some sort. It turned out it was your dad as he came running down the hill after hiking up the initial large hill only to realize that he had forgotten the car keys. We decided we would just walk back down the road that was nearby to where we parked the car which was several miles away. Your dad complemented a man and his cool motorcycle when we first came out of the trail. While we were walking down the road that same man stopped and asked where we were walking to. Your dad answered that we had forgotten our keys and that he and I were heading to our car at the park. The nice man said that seems really far away, would you like a ride?  Your dad accepted and I waited for him to return with the car. We had such a nice weekend together just being free of normal routines. I felt really happy that I had been invited to go with your dad on his weekend excursion.

We were really happy to go and pick you up. Nana said that you wore her out. She took you for a walk and you played outside and went to the playground. She had set up some paper with some markers for you to color with on the kitchen table when we first got in there that Saturday. That was your very first art project with markers.
I know she enjoyed spending time with you!

New daycare started today

Today was your first day at kids are kids in Conyers. We were going to start you on Friday for just half of a day but you ended up catching some respiratory infection so we kept you home. I dropped you off this morning around 740 and you immediately went to the teacher when she asked if she could hold you.  We talked for a little while and then you just stayed content with her holding you. I left and went upfront to talk to the owner and then I came back and picked on you and you were sitting at the table with all the other kids having a snack. You look so serious and it made me want to cry because I felt so bad for changing your atmosphere. Today was such a beautiful day so I was hoping that you got to go outside and play. Your friend Kinley is that the same daycare so we felt good that you had a little friend to play with. I called the school and they said that you were fine and doing well and that you recognized each other but it didn't sound like you were only playing with her i'm getting ready to pick you up so I can't wait to find out how your day was I am hoping that tomorrow I can come play with you for a few hours to be a part of that experience since it's so new
