Beach trip

This past Friday through Monday we went to Fairhope Alabama and you got to go to the beach!  What was also great about this trip was that you got to spend a lot of time with Nana. You really enjoyed being around her and she adores you.
These are the details of our trip:
We arrived Friday around three and checked into our little house and then Nana and I went to the grocery store while daddy watched you. We bought a cake for daddy's friends wife Nancy. It was her 50th birthday and we happen to be in town for the celebration. We went to dinner with them at a cute place that had a sand area and you just had a great time. Daddy knew that you would enjoy the beach when we got to go on Sunday. We had some really good seafood and then we went back to the house and celebrated by lighting candles and singing happy birthday to Nancy. You were being so silly and cute and everyone just thought you were the funniest little thing. Nancy said over and over that you seem really coordinated with the ball and just things that you do.
On Saturday I got up first and went back to the grocery store and got a few more things and stopped by a couple garage sales and then came back and sat on the porch with you and daddy. Then daddy take you to the store that he used to work at so he could show you off while Nana and I went into Fairhope and did some shopping and had lunch. That night we went to dinner at a Mexican restaurant and then daddy went with Mr. Robin so they could go turkey hunting early in the morning on Sunday. On Sunday morning Nana and I and you just hung around the house and then we went and had brunch at a neat place called Thyme. We got to sit outside and look at the beautiful water and even talk to a couple that had just bought a house there. When daddy got home from his trip we all got ready and went to the beach.

18 months old

I can't believe you are already 18 months old. It seems like time has flown by but this past month you have really done so much more than you have been doing. When I come to the house in the past with my keys I would always say I got unlock the door because you always wanted to play with my keys. Just last week you had my keys in the house and wanted to go outside so you took the key and acted like you were putting it in the door knob   It's amazing all the things you soak in that we don't realize. Lately you have wanted to play with your shoes and put them on yourself. Just this morning when your dad was trying to put your shoes on you were pitching a fit because you wanted to do it yourself. Your vocabulary has really increased and you say Chelsea, cup, outside, more.

I was just driving through a school district and the kids were walking home with their parents and made me think about how one day that will be you. Another thing you do is I've always knocked on the window where we change her diaper and said good morning Mr. Jerry and say not knock on the window and lately you have been saying knock knock

Sam's new adventures

This past couple of weeks you have really nailed the bye-bye and waving to everybody. It's adorable and you even say night night. Daddy said the other night when he laid you down you said night night and waved bye-bye to him and then grabbed your blanket and snuggled down into your bed. So sweet!
Your vocabulary has really expanded. You say car, bubbles, night night, bye-bye , nana for banana, dog, slide, duck. There's a show that comes on around 745 every night on the baby channel and it's called dance time. You really get excited and dance along with the children. The other night after it was on in your bedroom I kept saying dance time in your room and danced. You shouted out dance time. It was adorable!  I got so excited because that seems like really big words :)
At night we always read you books after you get a bath and brush your teeth and you like turning the pages and just sitting in our lap while we read to you. This is absolutely the best stage of your life so far and everyone says it just gets better and better. I'm glad I've excepted that you're growing and not a tiny little baby anymore because you're absolutely growing right before eyes and you are amazing to watch!
Right now it is 850 and you are still asleep. Good for you!  Daddy got up at 4:30 AM to go turkey hunting in Milledgeville. Later this afternoon the Brooks family are coming over to spend the night because they have to be in McDonagh tomorrow at eight for a softball tournament. Last night we got the house clean and the sheets changed and we are really excited that they will be coming over to play and see you!

No more bottles

Last night I put all your bottles in a bag and put them in the closet for the next baby. Aunt Angela always says why are you drinking a bottle- I guess because Alex quit drinking bottles when he was a-year-old probably. Your current daycare they only have sippy cups in the classroom. I think that bottle was a sign of bedtime and or a nap throughout the day but you really don't need them anymore to fall sleep.  Jodi told us that she would keep a pot on her stove and just boil the bottles and that's what we've done for the past year and a half. Kitchen will look different without your bottle stand and the big pot on the stove.
