Christmas Eve 2015

It's midnight and we are in bed. I am so excited for you to wake up in the morning!
For Christmas Eve, we went to the 7 pm service.  They didn't have child care so daddy played with you in the nursery.  I sang a pretty song called Be Born In Me. Right before I sang, I saw daddy bring you up to the balcony. That made my heart melt.  You were so good. When I sat down back in the pew below, I heard you say "ma ma" a few times. I came up there with yall!  Katie and her family came and Angie and Dwayne and Alex and Lacey. Sweet!

You seemed to understand leaving cookies and milk for Santa.  You ate some cereal for dinner and really just poured it all over your high chair. I said we can give that to the reindeer and you were excited about that.  You handed me the bowl and said rain deer and even wanted to leave them your milk. You helped pick out cookies for Santa and put them on his plate.

After that, we opened a present each and read The Night Before Christmas. You wanted to sleep in our bed, so you fell asleep in ours and daddy moved you to your crib.

We have your new room all set up for you to see tomorrow. Maybe that can be your  play room for a few months as a transition.

You are the greatest gift we could ever ask for!  You are really somebody special our sweet and funny Sam!

Merry Christmas!!

Cute things

I just came to our bedroom and saw that you had put my earplugs back on the table where I asked you to put them earlier when you had them. You know they are earplugs and think they're fun and you had them earlier and we're going to give them to me and I said go put them on the table next to where I sleep and you did!  When I saw them sitting here it made me smile.

I Picked you up early today after you had lunch so you could nap here and I could spend more time with you. You have been asking for daddy and I've told you that he is at work because he had to go out of town. When you look up from your nap you said da da work, Nana work, Grandmere work.  That was so cute that you were naming everybody that you see more often and thought must have that they were at work too.

Haircut and spicy

This is a cute story. The last time I took you to get your haircut you always pick up candy that is at the front counter and I always tell you to wait to get a sucker.  This last time he picked up a red candy and you also got a sucker. The hairdresser was cutting your hair and then you looked at me sadly and had candy all over your mouth and said spicy.  We realized it was a cinnamon candy   You kept eating it but would constantly say spicy. The hairdresser even said oh poor guy I can smell the cinnamon.

Play dough humor

This weekend I got out some of this Plato that comes in a kit where you can make vegetables and fruit and then today we made little figurines and then I made a duck when it was time for you to take your nap I guess you had put a little piece of the yellow in your hand and you were saying doubt that is satellite with an F. I thought you were saying a cuss word and tell you said rivet Ribbit. Then I realize you were saying frog that with your pacifier and it was not very clear

Kinlee lost her daddy

On Tuesday night Kinlee lost her daddy in a car accident. It is so sad that she won't really ever know her dad and I know her mom must be heartbroken about that. For only being two years old she knows her daddy now but those memories won't be there when she's older. My heart breaks for this
sweet family

Weekend fun

This weekend we got to see Santa Claus and you also got to go to Reynolds first birthday party. My sister me that a photographer was going to be at a hair salon with Santa so we took a chance and went up there and we got to see him on the sidewalk before your photo took place!  You did great with him and when he saw you he said come here and give me a hug and you went right up to him and hugged him and gave him hi five. Another time we left and came back and he was sitting in his chair but he saw you and hid behind the bushes so you could find him. Everyone thought you were so cute and so friendly with him.

Later that day we came home and played out in the yard and you had fun jumping in the leaves and I got some good pictures of you.  For dinner we ate pizza and watched polar express.

Daddy got home this morning and we all played outside for a little bit and had lunch on the dock. Daddy has been pushing you in your little car down the hill in our backyard really fast and you giggle and giggle.

Later Katie showed up with Molly and we took you to the birthday party with Molly. You did pretty good -there were a couple times when I took you out side to burn off some energy. You wanted to open the birthday presents and play with them once they were opened.   You really want to play with Molly but she always acts like she is not interested in playing with you.
You fell asleep on the way home for the last 20 minutes but you didn't really nap much today so I was very proud of you as you were a really good boy and a lot of fun!

Twinkle twinkle little star

A bedtime when you are in your big boys bed I lay in bed next to you and we sing twinkle twinkle little star. Tonight I started to sing Jesus loves me and you said , "no twinkle". I think we might've saying it about 15 times and you are really saying some of the words so good like twinkle and star and are and tonight you said diamond.  My face was so close to yours and I touch your hair and rub your back and I can hear you breathing and it's very emotional because it's the sweetest thing I have ever experienced. I'm so blessed to get this chance to be your mom. And you amaze me with how much you're learning every day.

No mama

You have recently just started to put an ending to the end of your "no" to us. If you don't want any help or we take something from you you say "no mama" or "no da da".  It's so cute!

Halloween 2015- 2 years old

Friday at school your class had a Halloween party and then Saturday Katie had a Halloween party at her house. Aunt Angela got to see your classroom on Friday and then me and her went to take my mom to lunch as it was her birthday.
Mommy made cupcakes that look like scarecrows-the same ones I made for your birthday except these were chocolate.

We've been watching a lot of shows on Nick Junior that talk a lot about Halloween and costumes so I think you really understand what it means. When we got to your school I told you to put on your glasses and you didn't know problem where at the house you can't wanting to take them off. Oh by the way you were Superman- the Clark Kent version.  It was precious!
On Halloween day I went to Katie's early so I could help her get ready for the party and then daddy brought you over when the party started around five. You played with William and kept trying to say Grrrr like a pirate because that was his costume. You sound a little pink stroller that was full of bowling ball pins and you push that around for a while and when one of the kids will try to take out one of the pins you would pitch a fit. It was a good time for us to teach you about sharing. Inside the living room they had a horse that was a small Rockinghorse like a stuffed animal and you played on that a lot. You ate a lot of candy corn and after trick-or-treating you had two packs of skittles and a fruit chewy back. When I took you and to visit Cissy and David they asked if you were in early that wild. You were just running around and really jumping and playing and I said I think it's mostly the sugar. We are so proud of you though because you're so much fun and so adorable and so happy and just want to play with the other kids. When we were walking around going trick-or-treating, you really got the hang of it and wanted to walk and would say trick-or-treat in your own version and then would say thank you and then wave bye and everyone that we got candy from said how cute you were. One lady had two little dogs and one of her little dogs was dressed up like a dinosaur. I think you were calling the little dog Chelsea because she was white. You were petting the dog and we're excited. The lady showed you one of her little toys she had on her front porch that was a green witch  that talked and her head spun around to a white zombie skeleton creature. You are very serious and looked at it and the second time she pressed the button you said no and pointed at it which is what you do when you don't like something that's kind of scary. We have a book called spooky house that has little doors you open and there are two in particular that you always say no to that scare you.
You are such a delight and I was really telling myself last night how blessed we are to get to have a precious child like you to walk around with and do fun things like trick-or-treat on Halloween!  Thank you God for our precious son who we love so much!  Happy Halloween Sam!

Sam second birthday party

We had your birthday party here on Sunday from 2 to 4 and all the neighbors came and Molly and Reynolds and mckenlry and Kinlee. You all had so much fun and you even went into the backyard and played after we decorated pumpkins and opened your presents. I had so much fun planning your party and I try to really focus a lot on the little details. I am really proud of how it turned out and I'm so glad you had a good time!

Singing songs

You have been really trying to sing along to certain songs so I'm wondering if they sing them at your school. You seem to know wheels on the bus and all the different animals so when I'm singing it you will say moo or meow or ruff. When I sing twinkle twinkle Little star you know star and other words. Tonight you padded at your big boy bed for me to come sit down so we lay there and saying and I recorded it and it is so cute!
Hey bring so much joy to my heart when I see you singing has it so precious and you look adorable!!  I signed up for guitar lessons and singing lesson so I can get better at those two hobbies and hopefully inspire you when you are older.

Daycare- go mom

Daddy said the best couple times he has taken you to daycare he seemed happy to be there and don't cry. When I took you on Monday you cried. The teacher says you always stop after a couple of minutes.  This morning we got there and had breakfast and then Kinley got there soon after so you sat with her at the table. She was ready to go to the classroom so you followed her and were so happy.  The lady that works at the front was vacuuming and you and Kinley were both playing with her and laughing at the vacuum. You follow Kinley right into the classroom and saw that the class was working on putting dots on paper and you love that is what the teacher said. You sit right down and grabbed a pink marker and I lean down next to you and you told me to go.  I was proud of you because you were so independent and we're happy to be there. I went and put your bag away and then when I came back he told me to sit. I turned around and looked and said bye-bye and you said bye-bye to me and went back to your art project!

Colors

Last night I was reading you a story book and you pointed out the different colors of the balloons on the page which is the first time you've said all good I'm at one time

Your 2nd birthday!

Two years ago today you were born. Oh how you have made our lives complete and made us so happy! You are more than we ever could have imagined!
This morning I was not at home because I had to come out of town for work but daddy called me and we FaceTimed you in your crib to sing happy birthday. We had to wake you up so I think you were a little cranky daddy said on the way to school. I made you cupcakes and they are going to celebrate with you in your class and your teacher said she talked about it yesterday and you were excited.

I made you a little cake that we will celebrate with tonight after dinner and I hope to get home and decorate the living room with balloons and surprise you!

This Sunday we are having your birthday party but since today is your true birthday it will be fun to celebrate as a family.

Painting

We had a painter come yesterday and they finished painting our kitchen cabinets, painted the room that you will use next and also painted the laundry room.  They painted our garage a neutral color that used to be cranberry and then they stained and sealed our deck. When we picked you up from daycare we ate dinner in the basement and then I stay down here so I didn't have to breathe the fumes   It's 430 in the morning and I am awake writing on this and I do have a little headache I'm sure due to the paint.  I keep thinking about your birthday party and things I need to do so I might get up and go make some cupcakes a while. These are photos of you in the basement watching my computer.

Eating your puffins!

This was Monday morning before we took you to daycare and I was putting on your socks and shoes and tickling your feet!  You looked so adorable!

Southern Belle Farms

This past weekend we went to a birthday party for a little girl that was born a couple weeks before you and then we went to a farm in McDonough. They had pumpkins and a tractor ride and other games and it was your first experience in a bouncy house and you got to see lots of farm animals!  You love the animals!
