Mommy's pregnant!

We are hoping that God is going to provide us with a brother or sister for you to grow up with. We've been trying since you were only about four months old and I just had a positive pregnancy test today. I've taken so many of those things and seeing a negative that it was very surreal to see a positive. Before you were born we had our share of positive pregnancy test but then there were three times where it wasn't successful. God gave us you and it was all according to his time and his plan we've always thought that he gave us the best gift of all by giving us you. You are perfect in every way-your personality, your sense of humor, your beautiful blue eyes, your soft blonde hair, your precious smile and adorable personality!!

Last day of beach trip

Today is the last day of our beach trip and it's also Father's Day. Right now you are taking your nap and daddy is sitting out on the beach in a recliner that we rented from the condo that has a nice umbrella.  There are umbrellas and chairs all up the beach today. This is definitely the busiest day at the beach. Yesterday there was hardly anybody here because probably most people come from Saturday to Saturday so there were a lot of people that have left.
Let me fill you in on what we have done so far on our trip :
We have taken you to the beach and also to the pool. You have really seem to like the pool best and I really doing great with your swimming and kicking. The second night we ended up eating here at the condo and have some chicken and tortillas and rice and beans.  We just hung around here most of the day and didn't really need to leave. And she had fallen asleep I walked over and bought a custard for me and your daddy.
There is a lot of traffic here so it's sometimes easier to walk what places you want to go are nearby.
On Saturday we went to the beach and then we drove out to a wharf in Sandestin and walked around and had a late lunch at a Caribbean type restaurant on the water. You didn't eat much and seemed like you were really tired and we thought you might have a fever. We had played on the playground a little bit and it was really hot so we weren't sure if that was the reason.  When we got home we knew you had a fever so we gave you some Tylenol and put you to bed and planned on calling your doctor in the morning. We ended up taking you to a urgent care right when they opened and they diagnosed you with an upper respiratory infection.   The doctor put you on another antibiotic but said that you could get out in the sun.  You fell asleep right when we were leaving the doctor but daddy and I wanted to get you started on your medicine so we stopped for lunch which was not a good idea. We both decided that when you're sick and tired and see the beach from the restaurant,!it's not a good idea to go have lunch. Ha ha.
We got you home and you took your nap and then afterwards we went and swam a little bit and then went down to another wharf where daddy and I had been a couple years ago. It was really sunny and hot.  You were interested in an area where you could feed the fish. They have a little pellets you pay for and can feed the small fish. We stayed there about an hour and then ended up getting a snow cone and coming home because you were very exhausted and it was time to come home and go to bed.
This morning for Father's Day your daddy got up early and went running down the beach while we stayed and played in the condo. While he was gone you helped me fix some French toast and strawberries so we could eat a nice breakfast before we went out to the pool and beach. We started out at the beach but you walked back up the beach towards the pool and said pool so we realized you have a pool preference over the beach.

You have said so many words while we have been here. Your vocabulary consists of passy, beach, pool, eat eat, 2 (for 1-2-3), Go, no, fish, hot, cold, mama and da da. This morning you actually said "go" and then "cup" which meant you were thirsty and wanted a drink.

Oh this is one of the funniest moments of our trip- yesterday when I was getting ready you fell on the carpet and then would cry/whine for me to come help you.  I would ask you if you were okay because I was really worried and then pick you up. But I had to finish blow drying my hair so I put you back down.  You fell again!  And then daddy saw you actually lay on the floor on purpose and then cry for me and realized that you were just trying to get me to pick you up!
We laughed so hard because that was so intentional and we realized how much more you really know. Daddy said that you have changed so much during this trip, but maybe it's because we have spent so much time with you compared to you being at day care. You have definitely been clingy with me. You always want your mama. The other night when you were really tired and I was holding you, daddy came up to hug me and kiss me and you got jealous and told him to go and pushed his hand away.

It's really neat being a parent and making memories with you!  These are the same sort of trips that our mommies and daddies took us on when we were your age. Hopefully we can come back here very soon!  This has been a great trip and we have had so much fun with you and watching you do so many new things every single day!  We love you SOOOOOOOOO much!!!

Beach Trip June 2015- Destin Beach, FL

We are at the beach!!!  Currently your daddy and I are on the balcony looking at the ocean and listening to the waves and feeling the breeze and you are asleep in your pack and play taking your daily nap.
When we first got here yesterday we unpacked and then went to dinner at Bubba Gump's. You were great on the car ride here as it's about 5 1/2 hours.
At dinner, you were a little bit cranky and have been throwing things on the floor which is frustrating.  Once the food came you were okay and ate about 100 french fries :). When we got back we took you out to the beach and you immediately wanted to get in the ocean. You had so much fun and I took some videos. This morning, we got woken up by you around 6 AM so we got ready and went to Chick-fil-A for breakfast and then went to the grocery store. (I put you in the bed with us around 1 AM because you woke up crying and didn't want to go back to sleep by yourself). When we got back from getting groceries we pack some sandwiches and went down to the beach.  Today the waves were bigger than they were last night, so you were a little bit hesitant and scared at the waves but we did stay in the ocean and beach for about 45 minutes.  We ended up going to the pool or a bit so you could show us what you learned at your swimming lessons that you took this past week. It is absolutely beautiful here and we are excited to be on a vacation with you and see you having fun!

18 month shots

You're actually closer to your 20-month-old date but you got your 18 month old shots this past week. Daddy took you as I had taken you the week before because you had pink eye again. Daddy said that you were really pitching a fit in the waiting room because you had waited over an hour and we're just in a really bad mood and the shots were the kicker. When I to had taken you you were about 50% weight and height and 90% head. You were 24.5 pounds.

Today is my birthday and I turn 41 years old. I'm meeting Angela and your cousin Alex for lunch. Daddy fixed me an egg and waffles for breakfast. Today I went shopping for a little bit so I could get some clothes for our beach trip next week.
Well Angela just pulled up so I'm going to go eat some lunch. My main point in writing this is a tell you that I couldn't be a prouder mom and I love you so much and you mean the world to me!!!
