Let me fill you in on what we have done so far on our trip :
We have taken you to the beach and also to the pool. You have really seem to like the pool best and I really doing great with your swimming and kicking. The second night we ended up eating here at the condo and have some chicken and tortillas and rice and beans. We just hung around here most of the day and didn't really need to leave. And she had fallen asleep I walked over and bought a custard for me and your daddy.
There is a lot of traffic here so it's sometimes easier to walk what places you want to go are nearby.
On Saturday we went to the beach and then we drove out to a wharf in Sandestin and walked around and had a late lunch at a Caribbean type restaurant on the water. You didn't eat much and seemed like you were really tired and we thought you might have a fever. We had played on the playground a little bit and it was really hot so we weren't sure if that was the reason. When we got home we knew you had a fever so we gave you some Tylenol and put you to bed and planned on calling your doctor in the morning. We ended up taking you to a urgent care right when they opened and they diagnosed you with an upper respiratory infection. The doctor put you on another antibiotic but said that you could get out in the sun. You fell asleep right when we were leaving the doctor but daddy and I wanted to get you started on your medicine so we stopped for lunch which was not a good idea. We both decided that when you're sick and tired and see the beach from the restaurant,!it's not a good idea to go have lunch. Ha ha.
We got you home and you took your nap and then afterwards we went and swam a little bit and then went down to another wharf where daddy and I had been a couple years ago. It was really sunny and hot. You were interested in an area where you could feed the fish. They have a little pellets you pay for and can feed the small fish. We stayed there about an hour and then ended up getting a snow cone and coming home because you were very exhausted and it was time to come home and go to bed.
This morning for Father's Day your daddy got up early and went running down the beach while we stayed and played in the condo. While he was gone you helped me fix some French toast and strawberries so we could eat a nice breakfast before we went out to the pool and beach. We started out at the beach but you walked back up the beach towards the pool and said pool so we realized you have a pool preference over the beach.
You have said so many words while we have been here. Your vocabulary consists of passy, beach, pool, eat eat, 2 (for 1-2-3), Go, no, fish, hot, cold, mama and da da. This morning you actually said "go" and then "cup" which meant you were thirsty and wanted a drink.
Oh this is one of the funniest moments of our trip- yesterday when I was getting ready you fell on the carpet and then would cry/whine for me to come help you. I would ask you if you were okay because I was really worried and then pick you up. But I had to finish blow drying my hair so I put you back down. You fell again! And then daddy saw you actually lay on the floor on purpose and then cry for me and realized that you were just trying to get me to pick you up!
We laughed so hard because that was so intentional and we realized how much more you really know. Daddy said that you have changed so much during this trip, but maybe it's because we have spent so much time with you compared to you being at day care. You have definitely been clingy with me. You always want your mama. The other night when you were really tired and I was holding you, daddy came up to hug me and kiss me and you got jealous and told him to go and pushed his hand away.
It's really neat being a parent and making memories with you! These are the same sort of trips that our mommies and daddies took us on when we were your age. Hopefully we can come back here very soon! This has been a great trip and we have had so much fun with you and watching you do so many new things every single day! We love you SOOOOOOOOO much!!!
