What you are up to these days

I feel bad that I haven't been blogging more about what you have been doing and what things we have gotten to do together. I haven't been feeling that well since I'm pregnant and everything is kind of blah. This weekend Grandmere came over last night and watched you and we went and did some shopping. Tomorrow all the schools start back so it was tax-free weekend so all the places we went were pretty crowded. Grandma said she can't believe how much you change in just a few weeks. We feel the same way. You repeat everything we say now and are really communicating so well. When you wake up usually say eat eat which means you are hungry. Sometimes I feed you a little cereal bar or some cereal with milk in it. Sometimes you like to sit on the sofa and eat and watch TV which includes choo choos and fish. This past week your dad was gone Tuesday through Friday and I tend to get really nauseated in the afternoon to evening time. For dinner I would eat cereal and you would want the same thing and so you started to say cereal. It's adorable. The other night I was making you a turkey burger and you had pulled out a little sticky note pad in the drawer that was the same color as Velveta and you said cheese and put the paper on the roll.  Most of the time you just walk around the kitchen and the den and hold your fishing pole and act like you're fishing with little toy fish in plastic insects. For the past few weekends every Sunday we have gone to the pool with aunt Angela and Uncle Dwayne and brought food to eat there.  Its been so nice and relaxing and you enjoy the swimming pool.

Last Saturday afternoon we met grandma and Papa Bill for dinner in Monroe and that is when you wore your shirt that said big brother in March. They were so surprised and happy.

Next weekend we are going to Chattanooga because daddy has to work a show and so we thought we would tagalong for the two days before so we could take you to the aquarium and the children's museum and hopefully the Chattanooga choo-choo train

At school this past Friday it was the end-of-the-year party so they had everyone bring snacks and sherbet ice cream and y'all had pizza for lunch and got to go out and play in the water. So tomorrow you will be officially on the bigger side of the classroom to transition to the two-year-old room in October. Your teacher Miss Locole said that she is going to be doing lots of redirecting with you. We all agree that you can be very persistent at times.
Just before when I was changing your diaper you were just being so silly I'm trying to stand on your head and it was really hard for me to put the diaper on you. I didn't get upset even though it took me about 10 minutes. I think your personality is so funny and I love when you have fun and I try to enjoy the moment and enjoy seeing you be silly.
Then I laid you and your crib and you ended up pooping and putting your hands in it so I had to get you out and clean you off. You still didn't want to fall asleep so I went back in there and you were playing with your blanket biting it and laughing. Seeing your sweet smile and your cute teeth melts my heart and makes me feel so fortunate that your little soul is in our lives. There are times where I feel guilty that you won't be the only child anymore but I know it will be good for you to have a brother or sister. Because we are in our 40s having you we won't be around forever and I want you to have a sense of family. It will be our job to raise you to love you brother and sister and I always feel united and that you always be there for one another.
