Christmas Eve 2015

It's midnight and we are in bed. I am so excited for you to wake up in the morning!
For Christmas Eve, we went to the 7 pm service.  They didn't have child care so daddy played with you in the nursery.  I sang a pretty song called Be Born In Me. Right before I sang, I saw daddy bring you up to the balcony. That made my heart melt.  You were so good. When I sat down back in the pew below, I heard you say "ma ma" a few times. I came up there with yall!  Katie and her family came and Angie and Dwayne and Alex and Lacey. Sweet!

You seemed to understand leaving cookies and milk for Santa.  You ate some cereal for dinner and really just poured it all over your high chair. I said we can give that to the reindeer and you were excited about that.  You handed me the bowl and said rain deer and even wanted to leave them your milk. You helped pick out cookies for Santa and put them on his plate.

After that, we opened a present each and read The Night Before Christmas. You wanted to sleep in our bed, so you fell asleep in ours and daddy moved you to your crib.

We have your new room all set up for you to see tomorrow. Maybe that can be your  play room for a few months as a transition.

You are the greatest gift we could ever ask for!  You are really somebody special our sweet and funny Sam!

Merry Christmas!!

Cute things

I just came to our bedroom and saw that you had put my earplugs back on the table where I asked you to put them earlier when you had them. You know they are earplugs and think they're fun and you had them earlier and we're going to give them to me and I said go put them on the table next to where I sleep and you did!  When I saw them sitting here it made me smile.

I Picked you up early today after you had lunch so you could nap here and I could spend more time with you. You have been asking for daddy and I've told you that he is at work because he had to go out of town. When you look up from your nap you said da da work, Nana work, Grandmere work.  That was so cute that you were naming everybody that you see more often and thought must have that they were at work too.

Haircut and spicy

This is a cute story. The last time I took you to get your haircut you always pick up candy that is at the front counter and I always tell you to wait to get a sucker.  This last time he picked up a red candy and you also got a sucker. The hairdresser was cutting your hair and then you looked at me sadly and had candy all over your mouth and said spicy.  We realized it was a cinnamon candy   You kept eating it but would constantly say spicy. The hairdresser even said oh poor guy I can smell the cinnamon.
